Our Services

The Canadian Ski Patrol has one main encompassing goal to everything we do: to promote safety and injury prevention. In doing so, we provide First Aid courses to the community, seasonal events and of course on the skill hill.

Four Seasons Events

Let CSP Muskoka Zone provide first aid services at your next event! We do more than provide advanced first aid in the winter; we provide services year round in the form of what we call Four Season Events. This is how we categorize any event that occurs at any time of year but does not necessarily occur at a ski area in which we can provide first aid care.

As a non-profit organization, we do appreciate reasonable donations in exchange for first aid services as means to raise the necessary funds for additional supplies for future events and the next winter season.

Please note that due to the nature of our training, we are not certified for water rescue. We also require event insurance be provided so that we may in turn apply for insurance from our organization to cover an event.

Annual Ski Swap & Sale

Every Thanksgiving Weekend, CSP Muskoka Zone invites various snow sport equipment vendors to bring up last year’s new stock to
sell at discounted prices in order to clear out for this year’s new inventory.  The patrol organizes the venue, advertising, and staffing for the event. Equipment can vary, but may include: skis, boards, boots, poles, cross-country skis, snowshoes, helmets, goggles, coats, pants, and equipment bags.

We also allow the public to check in their old equipment for a donation of $2 per item. You set the asking price for the equipment, and the CSP tries to sell the items during the sale. This is a great opportunity to sell old equipment and get something new at a great price, especially for growing kids.

If your equipment is sold, a cheque is mailed out to you for the amount you earned minus 18% commission that goes to the ski patrol, as well as a list of items that may not have sold over the course of the sale. Any unsold items can be picked up at any time during the weekend sale, and a pick up weekend is also established following the sale.

Donations

The Canadian Ski Patrol (CSP) Muskoka Zone is a volunteer, not for profit organization that provides advanced first aid services at Hidden Valley Highlands Ski Area, Arrowhead Provincial Park and other events in our community. As a non-profit organization, we are expected to raise the funds necessary to purchase the medical supplies needed in order to provide first aid care. Our volunteers provide their own free time to perform these services. If you wish to sponsor CSP Muskoka Zone to continue its great work, you can donate via cheque to:
